Hydrants Repair Should Use Self-Manage System

Jakarta Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' Tjahaja Purnama hopes hydrants repair next year is handled in self-manage without auction process or direct appointment (PL).

"There are about 50 percent of hydrants functioning. I don't want to buy using PL. I will use self-manage and it has been budgeted," he said, at City Hall, Sunday (11/22).

According to him, with self-manage, purchasing spare parts of equipments and operational vehicles for Fire Handling and Rescue Department eventually could be done alone without waiting for the auction.

He also instructed Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Department and other Regional Working Unit (SKPD) no longer use Event Organizer (EO) service for event which is related with counseling next year.

"Like Public Work Department then, we gave them up to Rp 7 billion yet not maximal. When we used Infrastructures and Public Facilities Handling (PPSU) officers, they did it until night and the result was maximal," he expressed.
